WATCH: What is it like for a young person to live in Manchester?

What is it like for a young person to live in Manchester? What do they enjoy about their community, and what would they change if they had the chance?

Media Cubs has partnered with Manchester City Council to produce a short video that champions the views of young people and answers all of the important questions above.

Our media team hosted a range of workshops over the Summer holidays which upskilled young people in video making, stop-motion and comic book creation.

The workshops were organised as part of the Ancoats, Beswick, Clayton and Openshaw Week of Culture and were all completely free to attend, aiming to inspire hobbies and potential study or career paths.

During our sessions, children explored the theme of community and shared their views on camera, as well as getting the chance to ‘go behind the scenes’ to learn more about the filming equipment.

Media Cubs are on a mission to empower young people around Greater Manchester with media and communication skills. Find out more about us here.
