We are Formula 1 fans in the Media Cubs newsroom – so we were super excited to welcome Bernie Collins – Head of Race Strategy for the Aston Martin F1 Team in to the TV studio for a live press conference!

Bernie first entered the world of motorsports by joining McLaren in 2009. Since then, she has taken up a range of engineering roles in F1 teams and is now responsible for race strategy at Aston Martin – making key decisions at trackside to maximise team championship points achieved at every race event.

Here are mini reporters asked her questions about her job, what is it like to be in a male dominated industry, who her favourite driver is and even who she would like to be stranded on a desert island with.
