Media Cubs visits Chorlton Brownies

Our media crew paid a visit to Chorlton Brownies (Girlguiding Manchester), transforming their usual session into an interactive newsroom and TV studio workshop.

The young people got the chance to create their own press pass and try presenting, interviewing, camera and directing skills.

Check out the workshop in the video below.

Kirsty Day, project lead at Media Cubs, said: “This was such a fun session and a great opportunity to upskill a really enthusiastic bunch! It was great to see their confidence grow across the evening.”

Kate Traynor, Chorlton Brownies Girlguiding leader, added: “It was a fantastic session; the Brownies really enjoyed it. And they were able to gain so much knowledge about the media with hands on tasks.”

Media Cubs clubs and workshops can transform any space into a pop-up TV studio and newsroom.
