Hope For Cheetham: New video highlights youth project in Manchester

Media Cubs has produced a new video for Young Manchester which highlights their Hope For Cheetham project.

The project is run by the community, non-profit groups, education, businesses, faith institutions, the public sector and young people

The video was filmed at a special open-day event in the area which invited both partners and local families to enjoy activities, food, and learn a bit more about the project.

Their main aims are to keep young people safe in Cheetham and ensure that they have routes out of crime and violence, access to employment, training and inclusive education and ensure that people from ethnic minority backgrounds are not disadvantaged by systemic racism and inequity.

In the film, key partners and young people are asked what their hopes are for the future of Cheetham.

Kirsty Day, Media Director at Media Cubs, said: “It was excellent to see so many people at the event and to be able to tell their stories in the video. It was inspiring to see all of the work happening in the area and we hope that the film reflects this well.”
