Capturing outdoor adventure activities at Low Bank Ground

Our video production team has captured exciting outdoor activities as part of the Wigan Holiday Activity and Food Programme.

A group of young people were able to spend their Easter trying new skills at Low Bank Ground in the Lake District – many of whom had never been far out of Wigan before.

The videos form part of the reflection and impact report for Wigan Council, of which programmes are currently funded by the Department For Education.

Chris Essex-Crosby, Community Health & Wellbeing Manager at Be Well Wigan Council, said: “One of the things we’ve always like to do in Wigan is give children the opportunity to do things that they usually wouldn’t.”

Adam Heathcote, Lakes Team Manager, added: “Our instructors challenge them and really work on building resilience and developing them as individuals.”
