Big Ambition Survey: Let’s get young people to have their say!

The Children’s Commissioner for England has launched a new online survey which will be used to take children and young people’s views to the Government.

The Big Ambition survey can be completed by young people in England aged between 6 and 18 years old. Adults can answer on behalf of a child or young person aged up to 18.

The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and can be completed on mobile phones, tablets, laptops and computers.

Most children will be asked to fill in the survey within school time, however parents are also being encouraged to complete the survey for those who may need additional support or on behalf of younger children (under 6) to make sure the needs of early years children are represented too.

It asks what life is like now and what they would like to see for their future, their hopes, dreams, and aspirations.

All answers will be kept anonymous.

Dame Rachel de Souza, Children’s Commissioner for England, said: “As we approach the General Election, now is a crucial moment to take children and young people’s voices to policymakers, Government, and decision makers, to make sure they are heard.”

The deadline for completing the survey is Friday 15th December.
